Die Ensemble Studios war ein Entwicklerstudio, dass zu Microsoft gehörte und Computerspiele entwickelte. Age of Empires war der größte Spieleerfolge des Studios. Gegründet wurde es 1995 in Dallas von Tony Goodman und Rick Goodman, Bruce Shelley und Brian Sullivan. Nach 2008 wurde das Entwicklerstudio geschlossen.
