In this post, I'll deal with creating a vertical jump and run. Given are Unity, different backgrounds and a character. 🙂
First of all we need one background objects or a game world, a character and something the character can stand on. The problem I see is that the background lies in front of the platform that I want to install. I know from previous projects that it has something to do with the layers and that it unifies my platform Collider needed so that the figure can stand on it. For the figure I need a PlayerMovemenscript for the movement.
But first to problem 1: My platform disappears behind the background image.
For the background, choose the Layer and for the platform. However, it only worked for me when I put the background and platform on the same sorting layer and put the order in layers in the correct order. 1 for Platform and 0 for Background.
