Titan Quest is similar to Diablo, sending you back in time to take on mythological foes.
Antiquity in Titan Quest
You will visit ancient Greece, Egypt and China. In line with its age, the game offers a somewhat barren environment. The textures are also not up to date as they could be. But it can also be seen from the age of the game, since it was originally released for PC in 2006 and was relaunched in 2016 as the Anniversary Edition. The new edition came out for PS4 and Xbox. Also included is the Immortal Throne expansion.
Always in action
Titan Quest is an action role-playing game. You are assigned quests that you have to do. In this day and age, this classic system sometimes becomes a bit outdated. The technical implementation of the port to the Nintendo Switch leaves a lot to be desired and could have been better. This also has to do with the controls in the game. The automatic aim function also becomes somewhat problematic. You cannot switch between your characters and, unfortunately, do not affect which opponents your character can attack.
The implementation
The German language version of Titan Quest is very well done and the setting and the story are varied. 28 classes are available for character development. Thus, the game provides a relatively large character system. There's even online co-op for up to 6 players.
Conclusion
Titan Quest is a kind of Diablo clone. It stands out for the mythological setting. You eliminate opponents, collect rewards and increase their experience with experience points. In its PC days, the game scored very well. However, the console implementation leaves a lot to be desired. Apart from graphic glitches, bugs and sound issues, it has a low frame rate and comes with some issues. The controls aren't very precise, and the auto-homing system doesn't quite fit. In that sense, there is no real game recommendation for Titan Quest.
