“Time Lord was featured in the Milton Bradley series of games and received minimal attention when it came out. The protagonist is muscular, dressed in red and has to travel through different time zones to collect bullets in order to thwart an alien invasion in the year 3000.
Basically, it's a brawl with an incredible variety of levels. After a level in the 'present' of the hero, which is little more than a prologue, you will be transported to a medieval castle, a city in the Old West, etc. until World War II before you return to 300 to defeat the aliens. You hunt for small red balls in the levels, the locations of which become darker and darker as the levels progress. Four of them are in the levels themselves, while the other is owned by the level boss.
From level two (three count the prologue) the villains have a higher degree of difficulty at the end of the level. The game offers a nice touch in which you only have one year to complete your search, even though this is a year in your 'present' and the time there passes faster than in the past (don't ask, just accept). A very strict time limit is set for the game. The graphics aren't terrific, although some of the bosses are impressively large. The music is by and large not very inspiring either. Despite the poor presentation (even taking into account the year it was made), the game has pure old-school beat-em-up gameplay that will win over even the latest generations of gamers. If you are looking for a challenge give this game a try.
