The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy is the second part of Dizzy the Eggman. The evil wizard Zak returns and kidnaps the egg lady Daisy. The game is released in Europe and Australia under the name The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy. The original title, Fantastic dizzy, was published in 1991.
The history
A difficult task lies ahead of our hero. The evil wizard he defeated in the first part is coming back. He kidnaps Daisy again and curses the brothers.
The puzzling egg
With a pair of boxing gloves you explore the country, guide Dizzy through mazes and help him solve various puzzles. They help your friends and puzzle your way through the levels to end up facing your boss.
The inventory
As in the other part, there are only three slots available in the inventory. That means you have to juggle your items just like in the other part.
The game
Compared to the other game, however, not much has been innovative. The missions haven't changed either. They are just variations on what is known. That doesn't mean this game is easy. On your way to the final boss you will encounter dangers, traps and enemies.
Side tasks
You don't just have one main quest to complete. Another goal is to collect 100 stars from around the world.
Graphics and sound
Expected from the start by a dazzling, colorful color palette. The quality is for one NES-Game excellent. The world of Dizzy is depicted in great detail. The game's music is very well composed and accompanies the action. Sometimes there are a lot of melodies to be found.
New
Compared to the other game, Dizzy can hide behind trees, perform kick and jump from platforms. An energy bar system was introduced for this purpose. Several mini-games are integrated that will immediately cost you a life if you fail. Unfortunately you have no option to save or continue your game regularly. Apart from a few mini-games in the game, the game remains fair.
Conclusion
The fantastic adventures of Dizzy the Egg are very comprehensive and entertaining. Apart from a few teething problems with the control and the music, as well as a somewhat frustrating mini-game, the game has been created very carefully and lovingly. Anyone who has already enjoyed another game by Dizzy the Egg will enjoy this too.
