Street Fighter 4 is, as the name suggests, the fourth installment in the series. It's been a long time since the first part of Beat'em-Up was released.
Street Fighter 4
The fourth installment in the Capcom series was released for Xbox 360, iPhone, PC and PS3. Back to the Roots is the title of this Street Fighter part. The developers have oriented themselves more to the second part of the Street Fighter saga. Eight levels of difficulty are available in the game to make beginners as well as advanced and professionals happy. Unfortunately there is no introduction to the game and everyone has to find their way into the controls.
The game modes
Arcade, Versus, Online, Challenge and Training are the game modes that are offered. The solo games have some anime style cutscenes. Mostly you fight hand to hand. At the beginning fighters and clothes are selected, as well as handicaps. Then it starts already.
The online mode
In online mode, you fight against other players via Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network. It's not about player versus computer, but player versus player. These fights are designed in such a way that above all players of equal strength compete against each other. You will be assigned a score with every fight. Accordingly, your performance depends on how your opponents are selected. The aim is to win titles, icons and medals.
The training mode
This game mode is particularly suitable for beginners. An opponent is waiting for you to finish them off, however you do. The mode is definitely suitable for attacking or learning to defend. Movements that can be carried out are displayed. You have to learn to perform attacks and combos.
The characters
The characters leave nothing to be desired. From Street Fighter 2 onwards, all characters are included. You can choose from Rio, Ken and other old and new candidates. You can play other players freely via the arcade mode.
The graphic
The graphics of the game are pleasing. The backgrounds don't really stand out, but even they are varied, with people running around there or children playing catching games, for example. The characters are designed in comic style and accordingly unrealistic, but that makes for variety. The animations are excellent and leave nothing to be desired.
Conclusion
If you play Street Fighter 4, you should keep your fingers off the gamepad. So get yourself an appropriate arcade stick so you can enjoy the game. The graphic style is excellent. There is definitely fun. The Rehmix of old and new knows how to entertain. Street Fighter 4 is a recommended game for beat'em-up fans.
