John Maracheck wakes up on the Groomlake spaceship. The only thing he remembers is that he went on a long journey with his family and was put into stasis for them. His wife Ellen and daughter Rebecca have disappeared. Traces of blood are the only thing he discovers in the spaceship. What happened?
stasis
John does it. To contact a scientist. An evacuation should have taken place 3 months earlier. But she is still on the ship and helps him find his family. The locomotive books manage to convey the atmosphere in an intense and credible way. The scientists on the ship had moral and conscience problems. The credibility of the game is shaken by other scenes. The story of stasis becomes more and more implausible, especially in the second half of the game, and degenerates into a B horror movie.
The atmosphere on the ship is reminiscent of Alien or Resident Evil. You have to examine every little bit in the room carefully, write down clues yourself and in some cases you are forced to draw plans. The puzzles themselves also become more absurd over time and no longer solvable by logic.
Graphically, the game's textures are very well designed. Much detailed time creates an exciting atmosphere. The 3D cutscenes are also convincing.
Conclusion
The story of Stasis starts exceptionally well. Unfortunately, it drops sharply as the story develops. The main problem here is the logic holes that open up. You could have done without some shock effects. Events become predictable over time. The adventure fan itself is good, only the story manages to disappoint as far as possible over time.
The publisher of the game is the Daedalic Studios.
