The Mega Man part, The Wily Wars, was released in Japan under the title Rockman Mega Word. This is a compilation of the first three Mega Man games.
Mega Man: The Willy Wars
The games Mega Man, Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3 were originally released for the NES and were reissued for the SEGA Megadrive. The release in Japan was under the title Rockman Mega World (ロ ッ ク マ ン メ ガ ワ ー ル ド).
The history
Dr. Wily travels back in time and tries to defeat the hero Mega Man. There are a total of three stages that Mega Man has to fight through in order for Dr. Wily does not usurp world domination.
Gameplay
In all three games you take on Mega Man in the fight against the robot masters. These are provided by Dr. Wily sent into battle. At the end of each level there is a final boss waiting for you. If you defeat him, he will drop a weapon that you can use to bring down another opponent more easily. Graphics and sound have been improved for the new edition. You have the option to start from later save points. The password function for level is no longer included.
The Wily Tower
If you manage to play through all three sections, an additional level opens up: The Wily Tower. In this tower Mega Man finds three new bosses, the "Genesis Unit". Characters from the classic novel: The Journey to the West have been added: Buster Rod. G., Mega Water. S. and Hyper Storm. H. If you have defeated the three, you can last with Dr. Measure Wily. You can take eight weapons and three items from the main games with you into battle.
Conclusion
This Mega Man game is not just a remake of the old games. The gameplay has not changed and the Wily Tower offers a special appeal of the new. Improved sound and graphics make the game a special retro adventure for Mega Man fans. If you are not yet familiar with the games, you will have to be prepared for an increased level of difficulty, which will make the game more difficult than before thanks to the save points NES games a little relieved.
