Lost Planet 2 is the continuation of the first part of the same name. The action shooter isn't quite as icy anymore.
Lost Planet 2
Lost Planet 2 is available for PC and console alike, just like its predecessor. In the PC version, Windows Live is used as copy protection. First you have to register your game with the serial number. Graphically, there are some drawbacks this time. Objects appear chunky and the textures are washed out. Graphically, the game would have given more.
the story
The ice planet of the first part has melted a little 10 years after the last events. The campaign lets you take on several main characters that you know very little about. In terms of the story, the game is rather poor. Each character is supported by a team of three colleagues. These are controlled by the AI. The campaign is actually designed for a co-op mode with up to four players. This can also be seen in the game.
Better in multiplayer
For this reason it is better to play the game in multiplayer, because the AI does not react the way you want it to. Solo players get frustrated here quickly. The multiplayer mode can really score points in the game. You protect various control points and ideally the other players react as desired. You can give them instructions and coordinate with them. The game then seems much more coordinated.
Game environment
The game environment guides us through the jungle, the desert, ice, space and cities in a varied way.
Control and sound
The control with the mouse looks jittery. In terms of sound, there is only one German subtitle. The speech output of the game is purely English.
Conclusion
Lost Planet 2 could be so good if it wasn't so multiplayer based or had a better solo mode. There are drawbacks in terms of graphics. As a pure multiplayer game, it is "nice", but nothing more, since Lost Planet 2 still has some flaws in many ways.
