James Bond - GoldenEye - is presented on the Nintendo 64 as an exciting first-person shooter. With old-school charm and a deadly sniper rifle, you plunge into the action of the Bond film.
GoldenEye
With different weapons, you explore twelve environments in order to achieve your mission goals. There are three levels of difficulty available. The game corresponds to the plot of the film. At the beginning you will see the bungee jump sequence from the film. You shoot soldiers, position explosives and jump off the train seconds before it explodes. With the sniper rifle you take out your enemies with a clean headshot from a distance. The game was developed by the developer company Rare for the Nintendo 64. It should also be said that the game was indexed due to the depictions of violence.
Details in the Cuban jungle
GoldenEye's graphics are superb. Deep snow and Cuban jungle are detailed. What is out of sight is in the fog. With the sniper rifle, however, that doesn't matter. The characters are very well designed. The actors in the film can be identified very well. One or the other corner can only be recognized in Natalia.
Agent atmosphere
The music is appropriate and gives atmosphere to the game. Relaxed elevator music can even be heard in the elevator. If you leave the elevator, the right music for the respective level will be played immediately.
Conclusion
Golden Eye was a milestone on the Nintendo 64. The graphics and sound are outstanding and give the gameplay the right depth. The game has been indexed for the N64, but is planned as a new edition.
