Fiend is a 2D survival horror game that is heavily influenced by the work of HP Lovecraft. You play Nick Cane, who is sent to the small town of Lauder to see if a mine contains valuable minerals. When he arrives in Lauder, he suspects that everything is not all right with the city, and the visit is slowly becoming a nightmare.
The game was released in 2001 and it took about 2 years to finish. The engine was built using the Allegro library and has features such as real-time lighting and particle effects.
