Dungeons and Dragons Hillsfar is a role-playing game created by Marionette for the NES was developed and appeared in 1989. This is originally a computer role-playing game for MS-DOS, Amiga, Atari ST and Commodore 64. Real-time action and lots of quests await you in this game. The gameplay is based on the role-playing game Advanced Dungeons and Dragon. The game was only released on the NES in 1993.
Dungeons and Dragons - Hillsfar
At the beginning you have the possibility to create characters. You either choose a pre-generated character or import a character from one of the earlier Ernst Dungeons and Dragon games. You have the possibility to choose the race between dwarf, elf, human and gnome. As a class we are available to clerics, fighters, magicians and villains. Lastly, you choose the mindset, which can be righteous, chaotic, neutral, good, or bad. Static values include strength and intelligence. The computer provides these with random values.
The mini-games
In the area of arcade action, you have the opportunity to complete various tasks that you have to solve in the form of mini-games. This includes searching for treasure or traveling between locations. The adventure fan is solving various quests. Depending on which character class you have chosen, the quests develop differently. The quests have a predetermined order. Outside of this, you have the opportunity to explore the game extensively.
The perspective
One of the game perspectives is the side perspective as you travel across the country. If you move within the town of Hillsfar, the whole thing changes to a bird's eye view. In caves you act from a first-person perspective. Do you want play objects in which you act with them.
Conclusion
Dungeons and Dragons Hillsfar definitely made a better impression than other Dungeons and Dragon parts for the NES. Still, it wasn't one of the highs of the NES era. The story has too little depth and does not really know how to captivate. Again, it's not really worth it to take a look at.
