The RPG Maker enables the programming of role-playing games. The special thing about them is that they can be created in the classic SNES style.
The RPG Maker
Who hasn't dreamed of creating their own little SNES game? This program gives you that opportunity. The program works with many different Assets and a large community has built up around it. There are even games on Steam that were created with this program.
There are different versions of the program:
So far there is
RPG Maker 2003
RPG Maker XP
RPGMaker VX
RPG Maker Ace
RPG Maker MV
The MV is the latest version of the program. Various assets can be purchased in the store or downloaded for free. It always depends on the package and those who created it. By purchasing, you are applying for the rights to use them for your game. The assets are divided into different categories and usually differ between characters, buildings, nature and monsters or animals.

The program is designed to be very easy to use, but it also prescribes a lot of features. The character editor is particularly noteworthy, although it only allows the use of characters in games until the program permits it. Naturally, the retro style of these games is highly sought after. Engine 2003ers is highly sought after for game development, affordable, and user-friendly. It uses a side-scrolling combat system, similar to RPGs of the 1990s. It allows for the creation of simple RPGs with a third-person battle system.
Conclusion
I will also be looking into the program as part of the topic of game programming. I am very excited about the possibilities that this little program offers. The disadvantage is that it is a paid product and costs around €60 when bought normally. It can sometimes be bought cheaper when on offer. However, the first look at it is very promising.
