Darkstar One appears as a cool space action game. The game from the developer Ascaron is not for space explorers. It's a fast-paced shooter. Kayron Jarvis bought a spaceship from his father, the Darkstar One.
The first step is to look for the father's murderer. A conspiracy comes up and meets the co-pilot Eona. What should not be missing in a shooter, of course, are a lot of opponents worth shooting. To face your opponents, you need an appropriately upgraded spaceship. You pick up missions at a trading station, do bounty hunter jobs and face pirates. There is money for this, as well as for escort missions and other assignments.

The in-game plasma weapon can be upgraded from an RPG just like a skill tree. With artifacts you activate the skills of the plasma weapons and improve them. Weapons and shields can be optimized with it.
In battles, you control with your mouse and keyboard. Use the W and S keys to activate thrust and against thrust and keep enemies within shooting range. With the left mouse button you fire and the right one activates the plasma weapon. You activate extra functions with the space bar.
Conclusion
A lot of missions are available in the game as well as many side quests. You feel the need to constantly upgrade the ship. There are many fights and enemies, although a lot is repeated. A little more variety couldn't hurt the game, but all in all it's a very good space shooter.
