Between 264 and 146 BC The Punic Wars raged. With Celtic Games, the Heamimont Games took up the topic. You command the Lord of the Carthaginians or the Romans.

Celtic Kings is another real-time strategy game from the Haemimont Games. In this strategy game it is not necessary to build up the infrastructure. Villages and cities are conquered and you use the local buildings for yourself. This can be done quickly in villages without protection. However, when it comes to settlements and forts, things look different. You have to lure out the defenders or use your siege weapons. In the forge you produce weapons that you need to recruit the units. The heroes come from the arena to support you.

The heroes lead your armies and you assign the other fighters to them with a click of the mouse. In addition, the heroes have special abilities that can be used effectively in combat. They are available right from the start. As you level up, your characters' life points increase. Unfortunately, the minimap is not displayed permanently in combat, but has to be called up separately. Graphically, Celtic Kings appears lovingly designed. The animations work well, but they are not designed in the way you would like them to be. The still image sequences to the story are not inspiring. The music doesn't really go with the game.
Conclusion
Celtic Kings: The Punic Wars is ideal for professional strategists. Others will not be delighted with the presentation of the game. Accordingly, Celtic Games is only conditionally recommended.
