Hungry for a rescue mission
The missing lady is not the protagonist's only problem. Another problem you face is being hungry. This determines your time limit. You will be kept up to date via an energy bar. It needs to be replenished with food. For this you will find different fruits in the level. With them you restore your energy balance. Meat and milk are particularly beneficial, as they completely replenish your bar. Eggplants, on the other hand, cost you energy.
The setting
You cross different islands. Every island has its peculiarities. While a dense forest grows on one, you have to cross a dry desert on another. Snow-covered mountains and active volcanoes hinder your way. Flora and fauna are hostile to you. Snakes, spiders, mountain hares and coyotes make life difficult for you on land. Various sea creatures attack you underwater.
Arms
Higgins confronts his opponents with his stone ax. He can hurl them at enemies in a targeted manner and thus pave his way. Later he quickly crosses the levels with a skateboard. Once you have reached the end of the level with your weapon or your dinosaur, you can store it. Before entering the next island, you can select it to take with you.
Eggs and items
The various items are hidden in eggs. You can find them regularly on your way. Invisible specimens are also hiding and must first be found. If you find eggs with a key, you get access to a bonus section with loads of fruits and items. Alternatively, you will meet a dinosaur who will give you items or take you to the next island. Some items increase your point account. When you reach a certain number of points, you get an extra life. If you still have time at the end of a level, the points are also credited.
Bonus level
After completing the level, you have the opportunity to catch a rotating egg in a bonus level. Then there are extra points or extra lives.
The helper
Additional helpers are a fairy who temporarily made you invulnerable and little prehistoric helpers. The Camptosaurus helps you with your opponent. The dark one whips out of the way with his tail opponent, while the light one breathes fire and can move lava. The Elasmosaurus supports you underwater with its swimming abilities. The pteranodon lifts you into the air. You can fly with him and he throws stones at opponents.
Boss
At the end of each island, a boss is waiting for you. Your animal helpers hurl their own attacks against him and are not available to you as mounts.
the levels
The eight islands give a lot of scope. The level of difficulty increases with the island, which is a nice challenge. In the lower levels there are fewer items available. There is the possibility to use different continues.
Conclusion
The game controls are excellent. The presentation focuses on South Sea flair, but sometimes annoying with its ability. The optics are very nicely designed, the backgrounds are subtle.
