Catron 6 in 1 by NTDEC
It was a Taiwan-based video game company that was either closely related or simply a pseudonym to NTDEC. In Australia it was released under the title Real Player's Pak by HES. The game combo in Caltron 6 in 1
As the title suggests, 6 in 1 consists of six different games in different genres, most of which are popular clones of the era. It consists of: Cosmos Cop, Adam & Eve, Magic Carpet 1001, balloon monsters, Porter and Bookyman. These titles were all previously released as a standalone Famicom format by NTDEC, often under their US Mega Soft brand.
The compilation of Caltron 6 in 1
Cosmos Cop is a pseudo-3D in-the-screen shoot 'em up, similar to Sega's Space Harrier. However, due to the NES's limited ability to handle first-person scaling, the game experiences a lot of on-screen frame breaks.
Magic Carpet 1001 is a horizontally scrolling shooter that later appeared on pirate cassettes as Aladdin III and was released as Super Harry Potter with some graphical and sound modifications. Aside from being the only original track on the cassette, it was criticized for its steep difficulty curve.
Balloon Monster is a clone of Mitchell's arcade game Pang, which appears as a Caltron 6 in 1.
Adam & Eve is a single-screen platformer, similar to Balloon Fight from Nintendo, in which the player has to kill snakes by popping the balloons attached to their heads. It was also criticized for having very little relevance to the biblical story of the same name.
Porter is a puzzle video game similar to Thinking Rabbit's Sokoban and Boxxle, in which the player must move boxes to specially marked locations. It was criticized for its controls. Crates can only be moved while holding the A button, and if the B button is accidentally pressed, the level will automatically restart without the player being warned.
Bookyman is a direct Brush Roller hack, the clone of another arcade game: Alpha Denshi's Crush Roller, programmed by Hwang Shinwei in 1990. Both were considered inferior to their arcade counterparts. It also came out in the Caltron 6 in 1 collection.
