Ace Attorney takes a new direction. In Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, you take on the role of a former prosecutor investigating a murder. What has always happened in court up to now takes a different course this time. There is no trial or judge in this part of Ace Attorney. A prosecutor is murdered in his office and you must join the investigation as Miles Edgeworth.
Crime Scene Investigation in Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
In this case, you do not examine the crime scenes with the stylus and touchscreen as usual, but move Miles Edgeworth through the office and examine the individual areas. This is a bit strange compared to the earlier parts.
The Ace Attorney Principle
The gameplay of earlier games was adopted anyway. You go on a search for evidence and question witnesses or you are in a dispute with adversaries. You have to raise your objections at the right place so that suspects don't end up in jail. If you go in the wrong direction, you lose points on the life bar. There is a big minus for the fact that the game is only available in English. The game is more difficult, especially with the legal terms.
The search for the murderer
The stories and cases are interesting and contain some twists and turns. The characters are mostly, as in the other games, exaggerated. Miles Edgeworth is a special character that you don't necessarily have to like. But he was also a public prosecutor for a long time.
Conclusion on Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
The Miles Edgeworth part doesn't come close to Phoenix Wright. The cases are varied, but the principle of the earlier games is not shaken very much. Often it becomes clear too quickly who the killer is. The controls have one or two shortcomings. What is fairly missing is the courtroom. Anyone who does not speak English can also lose out in this game. The game is still recommendable for fans of the series, but does not quite match its predecessors.
